New and in need of advice

I just discovered this interesting and promising software, and since my area is plagued by all sorts of QRM, mostly artificial and originating from the multitude of low-quality equipment polluting the airwaves with their waste products, I want to give it a try.

My help request is whether it's possible to use an additional USB sound card dedicated solely to this purpose, since I'd like to keep the PC's main audio for Windows sounds.

My current setup includes a USB interface for CAT and digital modes that receives audio from my old ICOM IC-765 and routes it via two 3.5 mm jacks for input and output to the dedicated sound card. I would therefore need to add two Y-adapters for input and output to connect the second sound card.

I already have a cheap but good Sound Blaster Play! 3 dedicated to digital modes (and also used for voice calls). I was thinking of adding a second one and connecting it as described above.

To complete the setup, I'll only need a small amplifier with a couple of watts to connect to the output of this card. I have the advantage of having the ICOM SP-20 speaker, which has two inputs: input A is currently connected to the radio, while input B is unused. This could allow me to switch between the original and processed audio simply by pressing the switch on the speaker.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
