Submission of noise

Post by VE7TL »

I have submitted 4 noise samples, which were rejected because previous ones were claimed to have been handled but the record shows none being processed or in process. What have I done wrong?

Paul,

I reject noise recordings when the existing AI filter adequately handles the recording's noise.

Choose one of your recordings and click the "filtered recording" button. This shows the recording after the AI filtering (filter #1). In the case of your 4 recordings, the spectrogram is black, and the waveform is a thin straight line, without any amplitude.

The black screen means that after the AI filtering, there is no noise remaining. (This would also be true if you were using the client to filter live noise - the "filtered" screen would be black, and the output audio stream would be nearly silent.)

To see an example of a recording that has residual noise after the filtering, choose "help" and arrow over to "Is the noise useful?". It is these useful recordings that are added to the training dataset. (After the training, those recordings will also show a black spectrogram.)
