Does anyone know if it is possible to and how to:
1. Iinterfact an ELAD FDM-DUO output to RM Noise input - the FDM-DUO output Line sound driver does not stay selected in the RM Noise setup?
2. interface RM Noise to the WSJT Application? I have VB Cable installed if that is needed.
Any help much appreciated.
RM Noise interfaceing to WSJT Application
Re: RM Noise interfaceing to WSJT Application
I doubt RM Noise would be useful for digi modes

Re: RM Noise interfaceing to WSJT Application
Thank you. I may not fully understand the way the technology works. If anyonme else has insights I would greatfully receive advice, otherwise I will not try to progress this.

Re: RM Noise interfaceing to WSJT Application
As HB9VQQ stated, RM Noise is only trained to help with phone or CW.
I experimented with FT8 signals. Here is a summary of my procedure:
a) I trained a new RM noise AI filter to handle noisy FT8 signals
b) I mixed FT8 and noise such that WSJT reported the decode was -20 dB SNR
c) the mixture was denoised using RM Noise
d) WSJT was able to decode the resulting denoised audio at +13 dB SNR
Then I continued with lower SNR values....
e) I mixed FT8 and noise at even lower SNRs until WSJT could NOT decode the mixture
f) then this mixture was denoised using RM Noise
g) but.... the denoised audio continued to be non-decodable using WSJT
My conclusion:
RM Noise DID NOT IMPROVE upon the low SNR capability of WSJT. Even though RM Noise DID raise the SNR from -20 dB to +13 dB, this capability isn't particularly useful because, unlike humans, WSJT doesn't mind 'listening' to very noisy signals all day long...
Re: RM Noise interfaceing to WSJT Application
Thanks Randy, That helps. Good try on my part but not everthing is ment to work. I appreciate your efforts giveing the Ham community another technology to experiment with. Regards Wilbert
