RM+ NR

Hi,
I made an experience using RM together with NR in my IC 7300.
Instead of filtering/compacting audio 100% with RM without NR+NB (I was facing some audio breaks with this setup) ,
I have then reduced the RM filtering to eg. 85% and added some NR. This hybrid setup brought me better and more natural audio when comparing it to audio without RM.
Any comments?

Your settings are similar to what I run most often: NR + RM at 90%

Ray,

I just stick to the default NR value -- will confirm what it is set at later today when I am back in the shack.

edit - NR is set to 4

Kasey, I have mine on 5....will need to investigate that suggestion.
I have been busy with all the long audio cables....shortened all of them and ferrites plus ground isolators etc and then re-visit my RFI issues.
I take my audio from pin 12 of the ACC socket....not going to screw around with USB audio setup.
See my article in USER SUPPORT on that issue.
Anyway, I am super impressed with RM after a week using it.
