Icom 7610 and Codec

Post by ND1X »

The question is why can't I use the microphone and speaker codec being I do use WSJTX so I knw I have audio going to the computer. But If use the computer speakers the RM nose works.

Thank you, John

I'm unsure I understand what you are asking, but I will take a shot (based on my experience with the IC-7300)...
You can (or at least, should be able to) use the USB Audio CODEC (from the Icom driver) for the input. It's the same as the Microsoft sound mapper, as far as I can tell.
For output, you choose the default or the device on the PC where you want to hear the filtered output. Usually, that is the PC speakers.
Click activate anytime after making changes (if it is not grayed out).
If you are trying to use WSJT-X with RM Noise, it is not designed for that.
