Hi,

I have observed that - after closing of the main window - several tasks are still running.

This have been observed in the task manager of windows.

Do you have some idea to avoid this problem ?

It would be helpful if you could name the tasks

HB9VIN,

That issue is difficult to troubleshoot because the log is within the GUI, and I don't send detailed shutdown logging to the server.

The 4 processes are:
- the main process which handles the network, gui and the audio
- 2 graphing processes
- a data manager process (moves data between other processes)

I tested this on 2 PCs and am not experiencing the same issue. My only suggestion is a reboot.

Hi,

I monitored my PC.

4 processes rmnoise.exe are launched at the startup of the main window.

2 are disappearing 5 min later

2 remains after 10mins. One exhibiting some network usage.

After 10 mins. I stopped observing the PC. 2 processes where still present.

15mins later still present.

But after one night each process had disappeared

The only concerne is that if you re-launch the filter, additional process will be launched. And the time before they disappear can be really long.

For your information:

One hour later 2 rmnoise.exe still present.

One of those showing some network transactions.

As I’m using a SDR, I have a macro software to automate each software activation and I can automate the killing of those 2 tasks. But for other people it can be somehow problematic.

I’m sure, you can correct the software to really kill each process at the main window closing.

Thanks a lot

Patrick

Is anybody else facing the same issue? I cannot reproduce it on multiple machines Win10 and Win11.
