Tx audio in headset

Post by kj7sdi »

I have my Yaesu FTdx10 connected to an audio input on my computer.
The connection on the Yaesu is the headphone out jack.
When I'm listening to incoming signals the software works as it should removing/lowering the noise so I can hear the audio of the received signal, but when I transmit I'm getting an 'echo' of my own voice and it is slightly delayed which makes it hard to talk.

Has anyone had this issue and if so how did they overcome it?

Thanks

Sounds like you are getting RF on your "line in" connection and your "output" connection. Try using some Ferrite on the 2 lines to absorb the RF energy. I also get TX audio in my headphones but it isn't delayed and I just "tune" it out when talking.
