Re: Spectral analysis of Phone SSB model — presence band attenuation
Hi Randy, You're right, looking more carefully at the full range from 100 Hz to 2500 Hz the rolloff is more than what I measured between just 500-2500 Hz. Fair point. The deterministic high-frequency boost approach sounds very promising. Option (b) — boosting the neural network's output above ~1.5 k...

Re: Spectral analysis of Phone SSB model — presence band attenuation
Hi Randy, I compared the pure speech spectrum (from your example) with my received SSB audio (RMNoise OFF): Pure speech: 500 Hz = -47 dB, 2500 Hz = -73 dB → rolloff = ~26 dB Received SSB: 500 Hz = -65 dB, 2500 Hz = -67 dB → rolloff = ~2 dB The received SSB spectrum is essentially flat across 300-280...

Spectral analysis of Phone SSB model — presence band attenuation
Hi all, I've done some controlled spectral analysis of the RMNoise "Phone web client version 824e959" model. I wanted to quantify a subjective impression that the denoised audio sounds "dull" compared to the original — and the data confirms it. The same behavior is observed both ...

Re: RM Noise successfuly installed but not getting a prompt for login/password log shows DNS error
Yes, that is pretty messy in Windows. It can be space or comma-delimited, depending on the tool/process used to write the DNS entries in the registry. The comma-separated form is most common when the value was written via the Control Panel, PowerShell, or netsh. The space-delimited format is often s...

Re: RM Noise successfuly installed but not getting a prompt for login/password log shows DNS error
I just did a quick test on Windows nslookup -type=TXT servers.rmnoise.com 8.8.8.8 Server: dns.google Address: 8.8.8.8 Non-authoritative answer: servers.rmnoise.com text = "rmnoise1.rmnoise.com:11109,rmnoise2.rmnoise.com:11109,rmnoise3.rmnoise.com:11109,rmnoise4.rmnoise.com:11109" I see tha...

Re: RM Noise successfuly installed but not getting a prompt for login/password log shows DNS error
Randy can you clarify? Where do you see comma delimiters, and why sometimes?Microsoft's documentation says the entries should be "space delimited", but sometimes I am seeing that they are comma delimited

Retaining filter setting
It would be nice if the filter settings were retained between restarts of the RMN client.

Re: New web based RM Noise client - testers wanted
I have also tested it on Ubuntu with Chromium and Firefox, all working ok. I am piping the Audio from a web-based SDR to RMN web client (in another browser tab) with the help of PulseAudio.

Works great on Windows 10, tested with Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Trying Linux now.
